Gas & Tyre LTD | Dargaville Branch  

Back in 1959, our original founder Bruce Miller started to manage both the tyre and gas divisions for a local Dargaville company by the name of Mawson Engineering. His reputation of fast, reliable, consistent, and friendly service quickly spread throughout the wider Dargaville community.

Fast forward 29 years to 1988. Bruce had the opportunity to purchase both the tyre and gas divisions from Mawson Engineering, and BINGO! - Gas & Tyre was born! With his reputation backing him, he started the nucleus of what Gas & Tyre is today. With his son John by his side and taking their service to the next level, it was clear that Gas & Tyre was going to be not just well known in the Dargaville region, but across the whole Northland region.  

Fast forward again to 2022 and the Dargaville branch is a Team of 11 full-time staff and our tyre fleet service and LPG delivery service covers from the Waipoua Forest to Pouto Peninsula across to Brynderwyn and through to Mangawhai and Wellsford. And our amazing Team live and breathe our Company mantra - “100% service – anytime, anywhere”.

The tyre related products and services that our Dargaville Branch offer includes passenger and 4WD tyre and rim options (no appointment required), complete tyre supply and management for truck & trailer fleets, agriculture contractor and farm tyre supply and service, and earthmover, quarry and forestry tyre supply and service. We have a fleet of dedicated fully equipped service Utes and Trucks to get the job done. Our LPG Division offers a filling service at the Dargaville Branch for any sized cylinder, and our signature “Hassle Free LPG” delivery offers just that – an unmatched hassle-free supply of 45kg LPG cylinders to your door across the entire Kaipara region, whether it be for your restaurant, family home, or batch. And then of course there is ARB 4x4 Accessories. Gas & Tyre is the home of everything ARB for Northland, offering the full range of ARB products from their Old Man Emu suspension lift kits to roof top camping tents, canopies, snorkels, winches & recovery gear and more.
