Everything great starts with a vision. And that was how Gas & Tyre Waipapa was born!

Roll back to 2010, Gas & Tyre had the one branch in Dargaville. One of the management team knew they had a good thing going there, so why not duplicate it? He had a vision of a Gas & Tyre branch in all major centres across Northland.

So why Waipapa…? Gas & Tyre was already looking after a number of commercial clients in that region but servicing them from the Dargaville branch. We then just monitored the situation over the next few years, then in April 2014 our management team decided to make our second branch a reality – and we opened Gas & Tyre Waipapa in August 2014.  

The support and commitment we then experienced from the region was outstanding, and our client base exploded. By January 2016 we had moved to our current premises to allow for the growth and create an easier and more enjoyable working experience for our staff and clients.

Jump to 2022 and we have an amazing fulltime team of 7, and like all of our team they live and breathe our Company mantra of, “100% service – anytime, anywhere”. This branch continues to grow  

Our products and services offering includes; all tyres including passenger car, 4WD, truck, agriculture, earthmover, and forestry and of course our 24/7 fleet service; our LPG deliveries include domestic and commercial clients and covers the greater Bay Of Islands, including Coopers Beach, Mangonui, Kaeo, Purerua Peninsula, Matauri Bay, Waipapa, Kerikeri, Okaihau, Puketona, and Paihia; and our most recent product offering is the full range of ARB 4x4 Accessories which we supply and fit to your vehicle all onsite at our Waipapa branch.
